Mingle is a real-time voice translator that runs in your web browser. Speak into any phone or computer, and it instantly shows and speaks the translation in the other person’s language — no app or special hardware needed.
Do I need AirPods or special earbuds?
No. Mingle works with any Bluetooth earbuds, wired headphones, or no headphones at all. Unlike Apple’s Live Translation, it doesn’t require AirPods or a recent iPhone.
Does it work on Android and iPhone?

Can both people talk in their own language?
Yes. Tap Share session and show the QR code or send the link: they open it on their own phone, pick their language, and you both speak freely, each reading the other in your own language. You need a free account to share; they need no app and no account. On a single phone, take turns instead: a session translates one direction, and you swap the languages when they reply.
Does Mingle work for remote meetings?
Yes. Mingle Meet is a multilingual video meeting room — each participant speaks their own language and reads live captions translated into it. Hosts need a free account; guests join with a link.
Can the other person hear the translation out loud?
Yes. Turn on Read Aloud to speak translations through your phone’s speaker — or route them privately into your earbuds while your phone’s mic faces the other person.
Do I have to create an account?
No account is needed to try Mingle. Signing up (free) adds saved session history sharing a session by link, and, on supported plans, inviting others to use your plan.
Is my conversation private?
Mingle processes audio to deliver live translation. We do not sell your personal information for advertising. Signed-in users control saved transcripts and can delete them anytime.
Why does translation stop when my screen locks?
Mobile browsers pause microphone access when the screen turns off — a browser rule, not a Mingle bug. Keep the screen on during sessions.
How is Mingle different from Google Translate’s conversation mode?
